Deciding To Do It!

After our CYCLE TOUR in Cuba, which at 400 km is relatively short compared to this one, we both decided that we would like another cycling adventure!

Adam did a lot of research into routes & different countries & after a lot of discussion we have decided to follow the EURO VELO routes through Europe, all the way to Istanbul & carry on through Turkey to Iran!

It’s All For A Good Cause

When deciding we were going to take on this massive challenge we both thought that fundraising whilst we do so would be an amazing idea. With mental health issues being something that has closely affected both of us & something we feel is often overlooked we could think of no better charity to help than MIND.

Our target is to raise Β£10,000 in total, part of which will be enabling us to complete this mammoth cycle as without the challenge the target & fundraising would not be possible.

More Soon

We will be releasing loads more details on our challenge very soon including which countries we are going to cycle through, the challenges we expect to face for each day of cycling, how the money we raise will go to helping people who suffer with mental health illnesses and how we are getting along with reaching our fundraising target.

Thank You

We would like to thank you for taking the time to read about our challenge, should you wish to make a donation to enable us to do this you can do so HERE or alternatively you can donate directly to Mind HERE.

You support is very much appreciated, we would be delighted in you not only helping us to hit our fundraising target but by also helping us raise awareness for Mind & reduce the stigma that is so often attached to such a debilitating illness.

One half of adventure travel couple Destination Addict. I was born & grew up in Bristol, UK & started travelling in my early twenties. I have travelled to over 30 countries & have a real passion for exploring. For me travel is about learning about new places & cultures, meeting new people & really immersing yourself in a place. I prefer to travel slowly as I feel this is the best way to really take everything in. I just love an adventure, my main activities being hiking & cycling with diving & kayaking also a favourite. My other passions in life include my amazing fiancΓ©e, my beautiful family & friends, photography, reading, yoga, music & good food. I am a sucker for a sunset & for epic views, The reason I started travel writing is that I want to show others that they can get out there & explore too. I want no more than to pass on some exploration inspiration to our readers & really hope you enjoy following our journey.

  • That sounds fantastic although personally I’d sooner do it on a train! A friend of mine has driven through Eastern Turkey and into the Kurdish areas of Iraq and the people their were really friendly.

    • Thanks David, we feel it will be quite the challenge & probably will want to hop on the train at times! We have heard amazing things about the people in this part of the world & are really happy to hear that your friend had a great experience too πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for reading & for the comment.
