Days Spent: 52
Places Visited: Bogota, Cartagena, Medellin, Minca, Salento, San Andres Island, San Gil, The Lost City, Zipaquira.
Our Highlight: Trekking for 5 days to the Lost City & back.
Our Top Hack: Making an effort to get off the beaten track is seriously worth it, we did several independent hikes which meant that we got to see this beautiful country away from the tourist traps & got a real glimpse into every day life.
Fun Fact: It is the only country in South America that has a coastline on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
Starting in the capital city, Bogota, we took in the history, street art & views. We then travelled to the jungle town of Salento, soaked up the cities of Medellin & Cartagena, lazed on Caribbean beaches, trekked through the jungle, hung out in the mountains & of course got plenty of hiking in.
This country blew us away more & more with every step & is a country that captured both of our hearts & souls like no other.
