Destination England

Lowdown

Our home country, a proud nation that loves nothing more than a good cup of tea & a whinge about the weather but what we are here to show you is that England is so much more than that!

Our history runs deep & our culture & diversity is something that we for one are extremely proud of. The cities are melting pots of people from all over the world which means there’s a huge choice of cuisine, eclectic music mix & a wide range of art from fine to street. Our towns are pretty, our villages quaint but our countryside & coastline are really where it’s at. Through our blog posts we hope to show you not only the sights you have heard of but also help you to discover the hidden gems that you may not have too. Welcome to England!

Our Factsheet

Our Favourite City: Bristol, Kelly’s home city is filled full of culture, arts, music, colour & beautiful architecture & is a must on anyone’s England travel list.

For Mountains: The Lake District, Cumbria has some of the most dramatic scenery in the country & having just been added to UNESCO’s world heritage list for us just adds another reason to pay this beautiful region a visit.

For Beaches: Cornwall has miles & miles of pristine coastline that is quite often overlooked by many, a real gem at the very tip of the country that should not be missed.

Our Top Hack: As it rains a lot anyway you can never predict the weather no matter what the season, our tip would be to visit outside of UK school holidays to really avoid the crowds.

Fun Fact: Nowhere in the UK is more than 70 miles (113km) from the sea! A place called Coton in the Elms is the furthest place from the sea.
