Destination Wales / Cymru

Wales or ‘Cymru’ (in Welsh) is a destination that Adam has been visiting since he was a child, Wales’ stunning coastline & untouched rolling hills are absolutely beautiful & the perfect place to get away from it all. The people of Wales are proud & strong, managing to keep their ancient language alive to this very day is an incredible achievement & a true symbol of Welsh culture. Add to this its outstanding natural beauty, its national parks & castles dotted everywhere, there’s certainly a lot to cover in this compact little country!

Wales is somewhere that we visit often, it is a place that for us never stops delivering & has a very special place in our hearts. We hope that through our blog posts we can bring to you the magic this country has brought to both of us.

Our Factsheet

Beaches: Our favourite beach is the small & rustic Morfa Nefyn Beach, home to the Ty Coch pub which was once voted third best beach bar in the world, pay it a visit & you’ll see why!

Driving: The roads unlike neighbouring England are pretty quiet in Wales which make it the perfect place for a road trip, driving here also means you’ll be able to get to all of those hidden places & discover all that Wales has to offer!

If Music Is Your Thing: Festival No.6 held every September in the village of Portmeirion is an experience that will never be forgotten. A festival to suit all that always has an excellent line up as well as arts, culture, poetry & good food. If you are in the area when it’s on, go, you won’t regret it!’

Our Top Hack: The weather can change quickly here, our advice is to come prepared so you can enjoy it come rain or shine!

Fun Fact: Mount Everest was named after Welshman Sir George Everest from Gwernvale, Breconshire.
